This song is definitely more leaned towards progressive black metal than anything else. The song starts with a very black metal style vibe, then starts to alter when the guitars start to play more progressive style riffs at . This part still keeps its melodic touch while still being crushing. This progressiveness eventually morphs back into melodic black metal with the ending, which has a beautiful and atmospheric feel as the lead guitar plays until the song concludes. Definitely one of my favourites.
